A CAMPGROUND THAT GETS YOU BACK TO NATURE ... AND S'MORES

At Camp Indian Sands you'll discover firsthand why it's called the Great Outdoors. Watch the bald eagle that regularly patrols the pristine waters of Tuttle Lake and the camp's 1,100 feet of shoreline. Enjoy the scenery and tranquility the stately oak trees and pines provide on 50 secluded acres. Listen at dusk to the hoo-hoo-hooing of owls signifying nighttime is near. And after a stunning sunset when light becomes night you'd swear there were more stars in the sky than grains of sand on the camp's beach.  You will be amazed.

Located only two hours northwest of Milwaukee in southcentral Wisconsin's Marquette County
(Google map), Camp Indian Sands delivers an Up North experience without the Up North drive. It's a classic campfire and s'mores cottage camp, an affordable alternative to the hotel-and-water-park scene. Swimming, canoeing, boating, fishing, wildlife viewing: it's the perfect place to experience nature's playground.

Plus, camp is always better when it comes with a lake. Tuttle Lake is a 155-acre gem that is large enough and deep enough to accommodate power boats but small enough to canoe around. The water is crystal clear and the fishing is good. Quiet no-wake hours are in effect every day from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m., providing ample opportunity to enjoy the lake at a more peaceful pace. Camp Indian Sands has its own private beach and swimming area, comes stocked with canoes, and has a pontoon boat available for rent.

There's more to explore in the surrounding area. Click here to see a list of nearby activites.

                                    Picture
A nonprofit Christian organization, Camp Indian Sands is unique in that not only is it available to the general public but it is also home to year-round retreat programs, youth summer camps, and also sets aside time to serve as an outdoor Christian education facility for all denominations.

Our mission is focused on introducing urban youth to the outdoors to foster an awareness of the environment and increase their spiritual growth.

Because the camp is open throughout the year, we have the time and the space to rent to individuals, families, and groups large and small. We have the capacity to accommodate 92 kids (ages 12 and under) or 68 adults at one time. Click  here to see our lodging options.
